Citation: F. Muell., Linnaea 25:381 (1853).

Synonymy: A. Jkaseri (Hook.)Hook. ex Walp. var. halophilum (F. Muell.)Benth., Fl. Aust. 1:205 (1863); Sida cardiophylla sensu J. Black, Fl. S. Aust. 559 (1952), non F. Muell. , Abutilon fraseri, Sida halophila

Common name: Plain lantern flower.

Description:
Small undershrub to 1 m high, covered with a soft stellate tomentum; leaves hairy above at first, more densely so below, crenate except near the base, subeordate, orbicular or obovate, very obtuse or notched, 1-3 cm long.

Peduncle of similar length to the petiole; calyx 7-9 mm long, compressed in fruit, the broad-lanceolate lobes longer than the tube; corolla cream to yellow, twice the length of the calyx.

capsule nearly twice the length of the calyx, 10-16 mm diam., consisting of 10 obtuse distinct fruitlets, each containing 2 densely pubescent seeds.
